Tiny Pockets
A small boy reaches into his tiny pocket and feels the cool edge of a coin. He drops it into the paper cup of a homeless man, their eyes meeting for a quiet second before he walks on.
Down the street, he hears what sounds like a steel drum made from old tin cans. It sends beautiful music to his tiny ears. He pauses, smiles, and once more dips his hand into his pocket. A shiny nickel lands beside the street musician.
He checks his pocket again. One copper penny remains. He rolls it between his fingers, then tucks it away for tomorrow.
His pockets may be tiny, but his compassion is great.

I absolutely love the story here. Such a great example of tiny kindnesses. That wee boy’s smile stole my heart on a truly memorable trip to Rwanda.
